Our Installation Process

Survey & Heat Loss Assessment
We visit your property to carry out a room-by-room heat loss assessment, checking insulation, glazing, existing heating infrastructure, and how each space is used. This tells us exactly how many zones you need and where sensors and actuators should sit for accurate, responsive control.
System Design & Zoning Plan
Using the survey data, we design your zoning plan and specify the Loxone Miniserver, extensions, actuators, and sensors required. You'll receive a clear proposal showing exactly what's being installed, where, and why - no vague packages or unexplained line items.
First Fix - Cabling & Sensor Placement
For new builds and major renovations, we run first-fix cabling to each zone before walls and floors are closed up, positioning temperature sensors away from draughts, direct sunlight, and heat sources for accurate readings.
Second Fix - Actuators, Controllers & Touch Panels
Once decoration is complete, we return to fit valve actuators, manifold controllers, and any Loxone Touch panels, then connect everything back to the Miniserver ready for configuration.
Programming Zones & Schedules
This is where the system comes to life. We configure individual zone schedules, holiday and frost protection modes, geofencing, and integration with any other smart home services you've chosen, such as lighting or blinds.
Testing, Handover & Training
Every zone is tested individually and as part of the whole system before handover. We then walk you through the Loxone app in person, so you're confident controlling and adjusting your heating from day one.
New Build vs Retrofit Heating
The right approach to smart heating installation depends heavily on the property. We work with both scenarios every week, and each has its own advantages.
New Build Smart Heating
On a new build smart heating project, we install wired valve actuators, room sensors, and a structured cabling backbone during first fix. This gives the most reliable, future-proof result - no batteries to change, no radio interference, and the cleanest possible finish with no visible wiring. It's our recommended approach whenever the build programme allows.
Retrofit Smart Heating
For a retrofit smart heating project in an existing home, we typically use Loxone Air, a wireless system that lets us fit sensors, actuators, and switches without lifting floors or chasing walls. It's a genuinely capable wireless heating control solution, and where an existing smart thermostat is already installed, we can often work alongside it during a phased upgrade.

Air & Ground Source Heat Pumps

Boilers & Hot Water Cylinders
Conventional combi and system boilers, along with hot water cylinders, are brought under the same intelligent control - so heating and hot water scheduling work together, not in isolation.
