Our Solution

Following the design of their Northwood property for a Control4 system, Home Automate was approached to implement a comprehensive smart home solution. The aim was to seamlessly integrate advanced technologies, enhancing the comfort, convenience, security, and entertainment of the residence, utilising Control4, Luma cameras, Ruckus WiFi with TV distribution, Control4 lighting, intelligent climate control via Coolmaster and Neohub, and a Control4 multiroom audio system.

Climate Control

The zoned air conditioning system was integrated using a Coolmaster unit, and the Heatmiser underfloor heating system was integrated using a Neohub. Integration within the Control4 interface ensures:

• Zoned temperature control for both heating and cooling.
• Automated schedules based on time or occupancy for optimal comfort and energy efficiency.
• Remote adjustments via the Control4 app.

Lighting Control

Control4 wireless lighting solutions were implemented as the house had already been wired. This offers precise and convenient control over the ambiance and energy efficiency.

• Precise dimming control for customized lighting levels throughout your home.
• Creation of custom lighting scenes for various activities and moods.
• Convenient lighting schedules for automated operation and energy savings.
• Seamless integration with the Control4 automation system for event-based triggers.

Integrated Sound

• Integrated a Control4 multiroom audio system, allowing for seamless playback of music throughout the property.
• Enabled independent control of audio zones, allowing different music to be played in different rooms simultaneously or synchronized for whole-house audio.
• Provided access to various music streaming services and local music libraries, all controllable through the Control4 interface.

Networking and TV Distribution

• Ensured robust and reliable whole-home wireless connectivity throughout the entire Northwood home with a high-performance Ruckus WiFi network, supporting all smart devices and high-bandwidth applications.
• Enabled easy and centralized distribution of multiple video sources (e.g., Sky boxes, AppleTV) to any connected television within the property via an integrated TV matrix solution, all conveniently controlled through the Control4 interface and Halo remotes for streamlined entertainment.

Security/CCTV

Multiple Luma surveillance cameras were strategically placed, providing comprehensive security coverage.

• Reliable day and night vision for 24/7 home security.
• Seamless integration with the Control4 security system.
• Intuitive live viewing directly within the Control4 app and interface.
